My Communnity Service Initiative: Play It Forward

Play It Forward
My service initiative, Play It Forward, is built on one simple belief:
A small act of kindness can change someone’s entire day — and music makes that impact even stronger.

Play It Forward is a project I created to bring music, joy, and meaningful human connection to places that need it most. Through this initiative, I visit:

🎻 Hospitals — to provide calming, uplifting music for patients and their families
🎻 Assisted living facilities — to spend time with seniors, play familiar pieces, and brighten their day
🎻 Schools — where I talk to kids about confidence, creativity, kindness, and following their passions
🎻 Community events — performing and engaging with the people who make our valley special

Every visit is different, but each one focuses on the same three goals:

1. Inspire Confidence

I encourage kids to believe in themselves, speak up, try new things, and understand that they matter.

2. Build Community Through Music

Music has no age limit, language barrier, or background requirement. It reaches everyone, and I use it to spark connection and conversation.

3. Spread Simple, Genuine Kindness

Sometimes a song, a conversation, or even a smile is enough to lift someone’s spirit. Play It Forward isn’t about perfection — it’s about people.

My hope is that every person I meet feels supported, appreciated, and reminded that they are not alone. Play It Forward is my way of giving back to the valley that raised me.
